The Maclaim Cap is a fine skinny cap for a average spray width of ca. 1cm (0.5“). Perfect for fine fadings and cut-offs.
The spray width changes with the used distance to the object. For skinnier lines, spray from a closer distance. For fatter lines, spray from a further distance.
In 1999, four German graffiti artists were about to embark on a new path in graffiti history with their newly formed crew, MACLAIM. The artists Akut (of HERAKUT), Case and Tasso were already pioneers of their field, focussing on photo realistic artworks. Rusk on the other hand was a specialist in classic graffiti style writing. In 2001, together the group took on the name MACLAIM and their path to notoriety was prompt. Their high quality mural works got worldwide attention, as this unique morphing of graffiti and realism grew to a genre of its own. After a long working relationship with Montana Cans, followed by a lot of research and development, in 2006 the MACLAIM Skinny White/Grey cap was born. Rising from the high demands of the four artists who were searching for the ultimate cap, the MACLAIM cap was a product of all their requirements. With an average spray width of 1cm, the round body cap is perfect for fine fading, cut-offs and work requiring detail and precision. Later welcomed by graffiti artists, urban artists and street artists all over the globe, the MACLAIM cap is still the iconic cap for artists requiring exact placement of paint in detailed artworks. Fitting on all female valve cans, the spray width changes with the used distance to the object. For skinnier lines, spray from a closer distance. For thicker lines, spray from a further distance.
